- גַּבְהוּתf. (b. h.; preced.) height, excellence; pride, haughtiness. Ber.10b (ref. to Ps. 130:1) אין ג׳ לפניוכ׳ there must be no hight (elevated stand during prayer) before the Lord. Esth. R. to IV, 15 מִגַּ׳ לב from haughtiness.Tanḥ. Ki Thissa 27 גַּבְהוּתוֹ של עולם the hight of the world, i. e. the Most High.
